Sound Foundations NW (SFNW)
is addressing the crisis of unsheltered homelessness in Seattle by
producing transitional tiny homes with our quick, efficient, cost effective, and streamlined building system.
Our 15,000 s.f. building facility in SoDo, The Hope Factory, hosts 15-25 daily volunteers working on our assembly-line-style and no-experience-necessary building system, constructing roughly 12 homes at a time, six days per week. With our system, SFNW builds 35-40 tiny homes, an entire village’s worth, in about 10 weeks. With a median stay in a tiny home village of roughly four months, each tiny home we build shelters up to three neighbors per year who would otherwise sleep in tents, parks, vehicles, or encampments. Over its designed twenty year life, each home will shelter up to 60 citizens.
This GivingTuesday, our goal is to raise the cost of five new tiny homes, $22,500, to keep even more of our homeless neighbors #warmsafeanddry. Will you join us to get our homeless neighbors off the streets?
Thank You for your vote of confidence in tiny homes and for being a part of the solution to end homelessness!
